In any ordered universe, legitimate legal standing stops brute muscle every single time. The fourth realm is kyriotēs, meaning dominion, realm of mastery, and territorial lordship. Kyriotēs is the actual estate, the living domain, the territory claimed by a master. Paul tells us that before grace arrived, spiritual death exercised an undisputed dominion (ebasileusen) over the terrain of human experience. It claimed our health, our emotions, our households, and our expectations. But when you receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, you step directly onto that property as a commissioned vice-regent of the King of kings.
